Resolved: Audio problem

Postby 8855A » August 31st, 2012, 5:55 pm

I have one movie on the AIOS that the Audio doesn't play right and I was curious why it does this! The movie is DOOMSDAY-blu-ray with DTS-HD Audio!(MKV HD-Audio)

The Audio is like someone is stuttering, when I first put the movie on the AIOS it played just fine! Then later on it started doing this, just this one movie! I up-dated to the 3430 beta and it Quit, Audio played just fine!

I went back and up-dated it with the 3017 R21, which is great, but this one movie started stuttering again! I just was wondering why it played before and then went bad, then played fine with 3430 beta!, then went bad again with the 3017 R21. Its no big deal, just going to delete it and re-do it again! :?

R21 is using same audio drivers from R19.
R20 is using same audio drivers from 3430 beta (which proven problematic with IMS contents)

This is a problem I've had since I bought the AIOS back in April 2012! The Aios will play all the audio formats with any of the R19, R20, R21 and the 3432 beta!

About 2 times a month it will not play the HD Audio (dolby THD 6cl and dolby THD 8cl) thats what it shows under the Audio on the AIOS! I really think this player has a mind of its own! It will play great and then one day it won't play the Audio tracks I've stated! I then have to use the up-date on the USB and everything is back to normal!

With the new R21 I just have to use the AIOS reboot and that worked until yesterday, but then I used the USB (R21) and things are back to normal!

This is almost the end of the month so it won't do it again till next month, at the beginning and close to the end of the month! You might think I loseing my mind, but I'm not! For 7 months now I've seen it do this twice a month every month! I think theres a GREMLIN inside of it, really, not trying to be funny!

I don't have no clue why or how this happens or any solution on how to stop it! If I take it with me where ever I go I carry a few pen drives with me, R19, R20, R21, and the beta34! One of them always works!

I also have updated both ways, normal and hard boot and it works just fine! :? :? :? :?

Do you have an internal hard drive that is generating heat?

I have a WD C/Green 2TB 5400 rpm, and I've checked that many times and it never seems to be hot! Always blowing cool air out the back and player to touch is never hot or warm!

The HDD is pre-flood HDD, got it way before they had there floods! I've even change it out with my PC data drive and didn't have any problems with it in my PC! I still think its something with the AIOS! :? :? :?

I agree, but these kinds of errors should be random ... the pattern you are describing is bizarre.

Yes it does sound crazy, but I can even count on it to happen! Some where around the beginnig of the month and some where around the end of the month!

Do you think it is defective? Should I see about getting a replacement unit? Just bought it in April 2012, still have paper work! :? :?

I would be surprised if this turned out to be a defect, that said I don't think support will give you any trouble replacing it if you feel the need to.
