I think you're talking to me but I'm not sure.

It's set to RAW bitstreaming or else I wouldn't be able to see the HD audio codecs listed on my receiver.

Thanks watcher. I saw issues with previous audio driver as the two settings, Raw/LPCM and DTS channels, seemed to interact with each other.

As far as I know the 5.1 and 7.1 channels out should not impact "Raw" mode. In Raw mode you are streaming whatever is in the audio channel to the receiver. The receiver does the heavy lifting so to speak. Hence "Raw" in Raw mode.

I'm also curious as to what audio codecs are in the file you are playing back. One of the things I've done to keep the AIOS's audio portion from messing with the audio track is I only have one, the HD audio, in my archived files. Regardless of what I set the DTS out to, 7.1 or 5.1, DTS Master shows on my Denon 3808. If I change to LPCM Multichannel out, the Denon only sees the embedded stereo signal. Which is expected. The AIOS is not a HD audio decoder.

crash crash , again and again

I try flash R20 & R21 , but still often crash ,

I suppose main problem was caused by PT ( if tune off PT , it is OK )

My hdd is EXT3 , formatted as instruction in forums , before, Pivos ran smoothly , including PT

but recently, I can't use PT ,

I already limited speed - DL max 800k /s and UL max 50 K/S on PT , I found when intend to crash , DL speed reaches 1-2M/s , UL got over 500 k/s

I think It is impossible speed , it is false speed, if it is real speed , Pivos doesn't have cache enough to read / write data.

same issue on online TV with high speed internet , "speed test " shows my internet DL over 10M/S , but I can't enjoy smooth online TV , TV plays in snatches , no matter if tune on/off pt meanwhile , online TV goes into stuck finally

seems I should switch to low speed internet .

What is the problem at all ???

Its not just speed, you will need to reduce the number of connection per torrent.

I think It is impossible speed , it is false speed, if it is real speed , Pivos doesn't have cache enough to read / write data.

Its not related to read/write data, its related to the amount of resources allocated to each "connection" (you can have couple of torrents running but with couple of hundreds of connections thus eventually crashing the box).

same issue on online TV with high speed internet , "speed test " shows my internet DL over 10M/S , but I can't enjoy smooth online TV , TV plays in snatches , no matter if tune on/off pt meanwhile , online TV goes into stuck finally

Try watching YT-XL if you can get smooth playback there then the streaming issue is not related to the AIOS.

I only keep one audio track in my files as well - HD audio, whether it be DTS-HD MA or Dolby TrueHD. I didn't buy that receiver for nothing! :lol:

Hmmmm... that's really weird because no matter what firmware I use, and I tried them all, when I play blu-ray movies from their folders with 5.1CH selected, after reboot, mind you, I see only "DTS" displayed on my Pioneer 1019AH-K receiver. And this occurs even with movies encoded with only one 5.1 channel DTS-HD MA audio track. However, when I select 7.1CH and reboot, I see "DTS-HD MSTR" displayed in the receiver's window. Very odd, indeed!

I did some testing to see if I could duplicate the dts issue. I did. Found it on In Time. DTS set to 7.1 HDMI set to Raw, get DTS Master on display of receiver. Even though set to 7.1 the source is only 5.1 DTS Master HD. Set the AIOS to 5.1 DTS and the display on the receiver is DTS+.... Still shows 5 channels lit up on the rcvrs display as well. So there are still 5 channels of information being sent from the AIOS.

See the pictures.

It is as if when set to 5.1 DTS even though the source is DTS Master HD 5.1 the AIOS audio driver is setting a flag incorrectly in the audio raw signal. When set to DTS 7.1 even though the source is still only 5.1 that flag is set properly and the rcvr recognizes the DTS Master.

When checking with the AIOS submenu with the DTS setting at either 7.1 or 5.1 and checking the audio options while it is playing the audio track that is available and as expected the AIOS only lists one, the DTS Master audio track.

I have played a movie or two in which this worked correctly but I'm not going to play all my movie files to find them.

Seems to me there is a bug.

Or the setting is mislabeled. The setting could be DTS HD (which is mis-labeled as 7.1) or DTS Core (which is mis-labeled as 5.1). The option behaves as if that is the impact of the setting, DTS HD or DTS Core.

Don't have a file that off the top of my head I know had Dolby TrueHD but isn't that the way the DolbyTrueHD setting basically works? DolbyTrueHD, AC3 or Auto. So even though the setting is labeld Dolby TrueHD if you set it to AC3 you get the Dolby core?

Here is what appears to me to be the code for the selections under DTS HD Output:

<title>$[AUDIO_HD_OUTPUT]</title>
<mediaDisplay>
<onEnter>
popupHeader = "$[AUDIO_HD_OUTPU_TIPS]";
popupOptionSize = 2;
popupOptions = pushBackStringArray(popupOptions, "$[AUDIO_HD_RAW]");
popupOptions = pushBackStringArray(popupOptions, "$[AUDIO_HD_REDUCE]");
popupOptionFocus = getCurrentSetting("$[AUDIO_HD_OUTPUT]");

It appears when selecting 5.1 we are selecting the sub script/command/code "AUDIO_HD_REDUCE"

Thank you, jsmiddleton4

I think you are spot on with the mislabeling. Because when you think about it, if a player is set to bitstream directly, it will bitstream however many HD tracks that movie has in whatever codec, whether it be 5.1 or 7.1. I do believe the 5.1CH setting on the AIOS is for DTS core. And right now it's the only I setting I can use to get my blu-ray files to play without the audio cutting out whilst fast forwarding or reversing or just plain pausing.
