Eventually (not on the same movie) XBMC exit again. It happened every time when I was browsing the movie collection, randomly at certain points.

mmm .. thats similar to my setup.
ok, hold that thought, there is a new version being released shortly lets see if you still have issues with that one.

Thats because no hardware acceleration is used for ISOs, so you rely on the CPU for decoding (which is already being dragged around running Android in the background), if its DVD ISOs you want to run, check the XBMC-Linux update.

Last time I checked you bought an Android device, you didnt buy the XBMC for android APK ;)[/quote]

Hey with all due respect... can you or anyone on this forum honestly say they bought the xios ds for the purpose of using it as is? I believe 99.99% of the people who purchased it was due to the announcement of the Pivos/XBMC relationship and HW accel.

Please don't assume I or anyone else bought the device for android only. I can assure you that if that was the case, as soon as they turned it on, they would have returned the product. I for one feel its a bate and switch. Stop drinking the Pivos Kool-Aid and solicit some "real feedback from your customers"

Biuld: XBMC0730
Firmware: ICS
Network: Ethernet
A/V Setup: TV/Speakers
Playback Source: Any
Video Format: Any

I must be missing something, but I am unable to get any sound out of the hdmi input in xbmc. The Audo Stream is showing Undefined. Video is playing back great. I have tried 2 different hdmi cables with 2 different TVs. No luck. I do get sound when navigating around in android. In settings I see:

Audio output device: android, audiotrack
Passthrough output device: Error - no devices found

What am I missing?

Edit: The moment I posted, I figured it out. I tried in movie player and found the application volume was off. Turning that up resolved my no sound in xbmc. I am still curious why the Audo Stream shows undefined for any of my movies.

It's a quirk with libamplayer with it not exposing the audio language. On the list.

Hey,

someone mentioned here a few posts back that there is an update coming up for Android XBMC. Any idea how soon?

It looks to me that the Linux-version has overtaken the Android version a little - more and quicker updates, more posts (indicating more people using it).

I agree with one of the previous posters that many people bought the XIOS after hearing about the XBMC development .. me too.

But I don't want to give up on Android as I use it with the Dolphin browser for TV streaming.

So, some assurance that the Android-version of XBMC isn't about to be shelved in favour of the Linux-version would be great. Best form of such assurance would be an update.
